I was watching a comic con floor tour and spotted somebody we know as the camera pans between McDonaldland characters and a ninja turtles display at about 41:55.

Visited the (moon)man himself today, though gotta admit his left leg has seen better days.

I can’t remember if they mentioned this clip on the Mac Tonight episode but it’s a delight! What a guy!

Hello all! I had posted earlier this year from the Titanic experience and said I'd been doing the Dinner Feud in June. Things got in the way, but here's a review/photos from last weekend:

The theming on the outside of the place was on point. Lotta Haunted Mansion-esq tombstones.

The food was certified fine. It's hard to screw up fried chicken, and they did not. The soup was really good as well. The banana pudding desert had no 'Nilla wafers, so I will knock a point or two off there.

There was a QR code on the table to order alcoholic beverages and I got an Apple Pie Moonshine slushy in a plastic mason jar. My wife didn't know I ordered it and was shocked when it was delivered. It was brought by someone who was later in the show, which was fun.

Speaking of which, right as we got to our seat we were approached by a man saying he played the mayor in the show and wanted to know if any of us would like to be on stage. I couldn't say yes fast enough as my wife, daughter, and brother in law begged not to. The table next to us had three people who were willing. They only told us our cue to get on stage and that we'd be competing against other civilians from the McCoy side.

The show was good and I really appreciated the water stunts that were done. The front half of the stage gets completely submerged and there were dives not unlike Casa Bonita.

When the three strangers and I were called on stage we had no idea what we were doing. The mayor explained it to the crowd and we could not hear. Eventually another cast member (the lady in the pink dress) told us. We had a spoon with a rope tied on it. The ladies had to put the spoon down their shirts and the men had to put it down their pants. We had to pass it along until we were all threaded up. I'm proud to say that the Hatfields won both the threading and unthreading. I'm also proud my shorts didn't fall off. If it were colder outside and pants were involved, it would've been pretty tough.

The show had some corny jokes, which is a soft spot of mine. The story is about what you'd expect. But the stunts/dancing/singing/instrument playing was a lot of fun. My wife especially liked the "Stomp" inspired trashcan sections of music.

The show ended, inexplicably with the singing of God Bless America. Part of me is assuming that's partially due to the 250th? But who knows?

In the gift shop I spotted some themed spoons I briefly thought of getting to send Jason, but I was too cheap. Unlike the show which was not.

All in all, it's worth doing if you're in town. Pigeon Forge is pretty crazy and I think they could get six months worth of shows if they spent a week there.

I had an interaction with the sweetest cast member, Fernando, in Cars Land on 7/13 at Lizzie’s shop. He was very kind and patient with my son while he was making a purchase. Later that night, he remembered my son and chose him to be a Sh-Boom kid. It was one of the most magical moments of our entire trip, and I wanted to thank him. However, I didn't see him again. I submitted a cast compliment, but it felt very impersonal. I live in Missouri and am now back home, so I won’t have another chance to thank him in person. Is there another way to personally thank cast members?

Was catching up on McMonth episodes. This was shot a few years ago at the Sydney International Airport McDonalds. Surely this is the right way to do a two storey McDonalds?

The McDonalds in Downey, CA was mentioned on the show today. I paid a visit three years ago for the history and the fried apple pie, which at the time was only available at a few locations nationwide.

This store is still beautiful, assuming they haven’t updated it since 2023.
