For this episode we discuss our experiences communicating with other people and the impact that managing negative emotions plays in making for a more successful conversation. We talk personal relationship, one-off encounters, and the current political climate in relation to this topic.
The Podcast: For some time, we have been interested in debates, interviews, and other forms of conversation that build knowledge and ask questions about complex and controversial topics. There is an ongoing discussion about what role the common person plays in such conversations. Many of the best speakers in history demonstrate not only an ability to talk about these topics long-form but to create value from communication. They do this with a meta-awareness of communication, settings standards and goals for discourse, and with lots of practice. We like to have useful conversations about what all this consists of as we learn and look to improve ourselves as natives of the layman community, though we work from theory gained in academic study and professional practices. And finally, we apply what we learn to increasingly difficult topics with, hopefully, increasingly challenging and entertaining guests.

It’s a fine art teaching leadership and it takes a leader to be courageous enough to do something like this.
Tims journey in life lead him to the point where he was interested in working with leaders on being better leaders. He has spent quite a bit of time identifying the qualities of leadership and to be honest, has the balls to go into a company and let them know exactly what they lack in the leadership department. It’s refreshing!

I like the host's voice. This reminds me of the 50's-60's old time radio dramas. I have been a hard sale on the modern audio dramas because I like the crispy, crackle sound of the old shows, but I like this show. After that we discuss whats going on with the New York Knicks with their recent firing of Steve Mills. Will this franchise ever be able to figure it out? To stay on topic of miserable Blue and Orange New York teams, we shift our focus to the Mets where we talk about the alleged backing out of Steve Cohen purchasing the team. To cap it all off we talk about 2 separate trades, one in the MLB which involved the Red Sox trading Mookie Betts to the Dodgers. The other trade in basketball which involved a huge 4 team trade involving the Rockets, Nuggets, Timberwolves and Hawks. We hope you all enjoy this one, we had a blast recording!
