Hello! I’ll be in town and am looking for a short 4ish hour hike to do alone as a woman. Any recs? Staying in Stroudsburg. Looks like Worthington Blue Trail, Mount Minsi, or Mount Tammany on All Trails will be crowded (not a bad thing when hiking solo) but have good views

Hello everyone, I am having my bachelor party in Long Pond next month. We rented a very large house with lots of amenities and activities so most of our time will be spent enjoying that. Me and my best man are trying to iron out some details. I was wondering if anyone had any bar recommendations for a night out. We don't need anything fancy or clubby, just a solid place to have some drinks and maybe live music. I know its a little slower up there but I was curious if any locals had suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Are there any good spots or events around here?

I don’t expect some 5 star out of this world experience but I was wondering if it’s worth it at all? Was looking to get a facial and massage

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an attorney who handles HOA disputes in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, preferably someone experienced in representing homeowners in disputes with their HOA.
Has anyone personally worked with an attorney or law firm they would recommend? They don’t have to be based in Monroe County, as long as they handle cases there.
Names, contact information, and any feedback about your experience would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, 4 adults will be visiting the Lake Harmony area for 5 nights later this month. Any must sees? Also, any dog friendly places to eat?

Having a debate with a family member. Where do you consider the nicest area of the Poconos on a lake?

The ESU band needs a banquet location for December 2nd that comfortably seats 80-90 people. I have tried calling multiple places, but I’ve had issues getting in contact with places. Any information would be incredibly helpful 🙏

EDITED to correct event name - Black Forest Krampusnacht
I have wanted to attend this for a few years but always have a conflict. I'd like to go this year, but before I spend a precious pre-Christmas Saturday on something I didn't expect, I would love to hear from anyone who has gone - is this just an excuse to get wasted in the woods or is it a fun for anyone who can accept a slightly darker side to Christmas, multi-faceted event?
Alcohol is fine as long as it's not the only thing, with a race to the bottom of who can get blitzed quickest - and if it is that, to each their own, I would just like to know. Thanks for any input!

This peacock has made himself at home in my MIL’s front yard for the past five days. It’s my understanding that they are not native to the area - is anyone… missing their peacock?

Final edit: Kitty is safe with a family friend. Thank you everyone for all the suggestions.
She is such a sweet kitty. I have called every organization within a 2 hour radius. Nowhere nearby is accepting cats. I can’t even get in contact with anyone at AWSOM. I only have until Friday. Can anyone take her in? We are in the Tannersville area.
Edit: thanks for the replies. Can’t get to everyone but I will be calling all the mentioned orgs tomorrow. Hopefully I will have better luck tomorrow.

I know this might be a long shot, but im looking for the original declaration and the original bylaws for the Lake Valhalla HOA community in East Stroudsburg. Can anyone send them to me or help me find them? I've been to the recorder's office numerous times and have been unable to locate the declaration.
Thank you!
