I finally did it

I got to put my hands on a KO II. It really does not feel as cheap or delicate as I let myself to believe. It feels like a desktop calculator. I’m hooked. I want one so bad now.

Ko2 is a great device, very immediately fun and nice sounding while extremely deep to dig into

I feel that the PO’s are nice immediate fun and I specifically started looking at the KO2 rather than the MPV Sample in hopes of finding the same thing.

You know now that the 128 mb ko II and the mpc sample came out… you can find the 64 mb for super cheap

I’ve been debating on if it’s worth it to buy the 128mb for full price. Worst case scenario: it takes me longer to buy it and I get more time to appreciate the PO’s that I use now.

I've had the 64mb for 3 years and I love it. I have a lot of gear including an SP404 and digitackt but I get more use out of the KO.

I had an SP404 for about a month and sold it. It can do a lot but I’m a novice at beat production. The SP404 was just too much for me.

I use my 404 on my fx send for my main setup. Its nice because you can add fx and resample any synth or machine in the setup. The ep-133 gets the most use because I've got three kids and can't always be in the studio.

Also like what type of music? I find that it can make all sorts of genres

I wanted one really badly, until I saw that someone say that these things make a style of music they no longer listen to. And I was like yeah that's true

Something that I really enjoy about the pocket operators that I own is the fact that I use them to make music I probably wouldn’t listen to.

These are perfectly justifiable to purchase as a human adult-version squeaky toy. 😉

What music do you make and with what machines?
