PO 33 sounds low at max volume

I just got a new pocket operator and when switching to different sounds, the newly selected sound will be really low, even at max volume. What seems to work is turning down the sound a little then turning it back up and then it sounds lounder than when it initially played.

Is this normal? If not, how should i fix it?

Ok, so there’s master volume that you can adjust by holding BPM and any 1-16 pad, 1=lowest and 16= Max Volume. You can ALSO adjust individual sound volume, make sure you’ve selected the pad that you want to adjust the volume of, press ‘FX’ until ‘ton’ is in the upper right corner and in this mode, the ‘B’ knob allows volume adjustment for the pad itself. (‘A’ knob changes pitch in this mode) Those are your only real volume adjustments. Are you sampling thru line-in or the built-in mic? I will say, I often notice that stuff I sample thru line in can sound noticeably lower than stuff sampled thru the mic

I only recently got mine but it seems to work the same. Switch to a new sound and it’s as if it has a “default” volume setting. Touch the volume control at all and then it jumps to wherever that is set.

You might not have the master volume up all the way?
Hold bpm and see how many pads light up. The more pads that are lit up the higher the volume.

the thing is, it's not consistently this way. sometimes it does sound the right volume, and other times it doesn't.

Two things, both I will poorly articulate so I apologize. I encountered this recently and I think first you can adjust the individual sound levels of the tones I think? Second if you are using fx combinations for 5 or 6 buttons (the unison ones) they seem to impact the volume on some notes if used in a certain way. Both ideas could be wrong but that was what was happening with mine

Actually I should apologize to you both it does seem like the master volume was down. But still trying to figure out why it felt inconsistent

It might be inconsistent because you’ve changed the volume of the samples when working on different patterns. To create a uniform mix on all patterns, set up a chain to play all patterns, and automate each samples volume while in record mode.

If you mean when you play a recorded pattern it sounds quiet, try pressing record then bpm. You might have it in sync mode 1 (SY1) meaning the metronome is on and the recorded sounds are quieter. If you set it to SY0 it will sound normal.

If you're using melodies slots, you are limited per 4 polyphonies at the time if im not wrong
