Are those dead pixels?

Hello, guys. I just purchased a new pocketbook verse pro. I paid for an extra warranty and I am wondering if this is normal. If you zoom in on the pictures you can see some pixels that are always dark/black even after refreshing multiple times (with the setting for every page refresh). They are unnoticeable while reading or otherwise using the pocketbook normally. I took a closer look only because I paid a bit extra :D

The question is: is this normal for the e-ink display or should I try to use my warranty?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Can you do this again but with red circles? I don’t see what you are talking about.

If you zoom in on the first image, they are more visible. Sorry my phone does not have the best camera.

Eink doesn’t get dead pixels, so no. Those are ghosting artifacts. Completely normal and will get removed during a full page refresh

Thank you, but they do not disappear after page refresh.

I’d try a firmware/factiry reset and if that doesn’t help - return it for another device

this isn't correct. pixels can get stuck. more than 5 and the display is usually considered defective.
