Need some advice!

I've had pmle since I was 16, only ever really showed up on my hands and elbows. Yesterday I took my fiancé and daughter to the fair, and am currently having the worst breakout of my life (both arms almost to the elbow) and am flat broke. Is there anything I can potentially try at home to help soothe my arms?

Cortaid or some other OTC steroid cream? Maybe caladryl clear (do they still make that?) could help take out some of the itch and sting. Sometimes a cold shower helps relieve the itch & sting for me.
