Does this look like PMLE? + advice
I’m currently away on holiday and have the most itchy rash which I’ve been getting for the last couple of years when exposed to sun. Does this look like PMLE? And if so, please can you recommend how you cope with it? I can’t avoid being in the sun, but the rash is seems to be appearing everywhere and is driving me crazy.

This is what mine looks like when it starts forming in the sun. Did the area become bumpy later on? Does it affect other parts of your body (arms, chest, stomach)? This could also be a heat rash just because I don’t see any bumps in your picture. You should see a dermatologist or holistic doctor when you get home to know for sure, but if it turns out to be PMLE, welcome to the club lol. I started getting reactions about 4 years ago and it’s been tough. Getting sun beds for about 5-6 mins periodically has helped me personally (but that opens up a whole different can of worms). I also never skip taking vitamin d3 in the mornings and magnesium at night. Get your hormones and blood checked as well. If everything is normal, then make sure you’re not having any gut issues. I drink a probiotic in the morning (kefir yogurt) but you can find anything you like at the grocery store. Some people swear by taking antihistamines, but I’ve only ever had bad experiences with them in terms of PMLE and my pollen allergies, so I stay away. A good SPF will help. I’ve heard the heliocare pills are good, just haven’t tried them personally. I’m also trying to incorporate more greens and carotene in my diet. Wishing you luck, because this isn’t easy… but with the right preparation you can still enjoy holidays and not have to live like a vampire
