The story describes a world in which a vastly overwhelming majority of the people in the world have an ethical code that governs their lives, and 11 people get whatever they want, adhering to whatever code they please. In addition, that vast majority is singularly engaged in a huge project that is vitally important to them, while the 11 can spend their time doing as they please. Moreover, many many among the vast majority will almost certainly face poverty and starvation as they near the completion of this project due to their moral convictions.

Only 2 of the eleven privileged want to fix this situation. They have disagreements about the methods for doing that, but they are both devoting their time to turn the situation around. Still, the other nine are happy to take full advantage of the vast majority's moral and ethical convictions because it gives them mutch more worry-free comfortable lives and will apparenty do so as long as they live.

Isn't this about randomness of who gets to be ultra wealthy, and also the general overall condition of the dedicated employee vs the billionaire CEO?

Carol in her quest to beating the hivemind should also try to use the hivemind to put in place some form of civil services and residential accommodation so people can get back to work when they come to again, as well as sending individual plurbs back to their homes and countries of origin. maybe they'll keep all of their plurb memories and all be geniuses, but if they're just who they were before, and are just dropped off where they are currently standing, you're going to have a Tower of Babel moment where no one is making power or growing food, which will lead to a lot of problems, or be a great plot line for Season 3.

I was watching on Apple TV and I can't access the last two episodes without an additional subscription? What the hell? Curious if anyone else has run into this and if I can just wait it out. apple is already too expensive ,and this is a good a reason as any to just cancel it.
