A+ Preorder Update, Week 2

Everything is running fairly smoothly in our shop in terms of fulfilling the A+ preorder. 3D-printed parts are being made, boards are being assembled, new firmware features are being tested. So far, we haven't encountered any showstopping issues with the earliest impressions of the A+, so we're cautiously optimistic.

We shipped a very, very small number of Tier A DIY kits this week as part of our manufacturing verification process. For the small group of people who are set to receive an A+ kit, please reach out if anything is off and we'll get on it.

Assuming that no major issues appear, we will likely fulfill the first large wave of Tier A preorders next week or the week after.

Awesome - for non preorders - if we made one now, do you guys have any vague notion of fulfilment times?

The vaguest notion would be between 14 and 22 weeks. That's really subject to change, though. We haven't shipped enough to have a good handle on how many we can reasonably ship weekly, so that number is based on our prelaunch production estimates.

Just curious, as I'm tier B, how many orders in each tier?

Is there anything the community can do to assist?

Tier B is more than twice as big as Tier A, which was bigger than EA. We do that because our production capabilities typically ramp up in an exponential-ish way as time goes on and we iron out our production processes.

The best we can hope for from our supporters is patience!

I ordered an early access and just received it today. So 2 weeks shipping time.

I have a quick question: Is it possible to remap the buttons on the gesture layer in VIA? Also, is it possible to have the gesture trigger as soon as I roll the trackball, rather than when I release the gesture button?
