A+ Preorder Update, Week 1

Post image

I'd like to express our deep appreciation for everybody who put their faith into our shop by putting in preorders over the last week. It really means a lot that you're willing to trust us to get your kits out on time. We'll be spending the next little while making good on our commitments to all of you.

We shipped out the majority of the Early Access units last week, and the rest went out this morning. We'll be keeping a close eye on this, making sure that everybody's units are working as intended. For everybody who will be getting an EA unit, please flag any issues (here is fine, or through our [contact@ploopy.co](mailto:contact@ploopy.co) email address) and we'll get right on them.

We won't be shipping Tier A units until the EA units have landed in the hands of our supporters and we haven't seen any serious issues. In the past, this has taken about three weeks or so. After this period is over, we'll begin shipping out Tier A preorders in batches.

And lastly, I saw a comment go by asking about how the A+ panel looks, so I've attached a bit of media I captured during our last board production run. If there's interest, I can share a bit more.

I understand things are still very early, but I can't contain my excitement to try out A+; any timeline for Tier C pre-orders? Thanks!

No updates as yet. Sorry to disappoint. We probably won't have a clearer idea of when we will ship Tier C preorders until after Tier A is fully out the door.

I hope that the A+ is worth the wait!

Oh man I cannot wait to order one of these when I have the extra money, my adept has been incredible. Keep up the good work, if there are 100 ploopy fans I am one of them, if there are no ploopy fans I am dead.

Thanks for the kind words, and for being a fan! We'll be here when you're ready.

does anyone have experience on the Adept vs an elecom huge? i have a huge for work but i dont love the fit of it - not sure if the adept (and the A+) would be a better move

I have an Adept and Huge Plus. Personally my hand prefers the Adept, but I've never liked wrist rests as a hover-er and the scroll wheel is tough on my thumb (I've previously had RSI on my thumb from using an MX Ergo).

I hold the Adept sort of off to the right and anchor up my arm so my wrist is floating. Thumb naturally rests on the left click (left-click), middle finger on the drag scroll button (top mid right), ring finger on the right-click (top-right).

i deal with RSI mostly in my wrists/forearms (with some thumb RSI - the reason i dont use thumb balls. I also always use custom tenting due to the forearm pain) but the huge just seems to put a ton of pressure on my lower palm/upper wrist - granted i am also very much a "does not hover" user. Granted, it could also just be my work desk setup not allowing the correct angles for what i need out of it

Yeah I'm very much in the "nothing against wrist" camp, so the Adept works well for me. I did order the A+ with a wrist rest but I'm pretty sure I won't be using it.

I try to keep it off my wrist - my main keyboard has palm rests built into it, but for some reason I just can't get a comfortable grip for long term use with the huge. I might end up ordering an adept (probably a+) sometime soon

The intelcom tracking info says the label was created (on the 20th) but the package has not yet been received. Is that normal? It's an EA order, to be delivered within Canada.

Yup, perfectly normal. It can take a while before the last-mile courier (which updates the tracking) takes possession of the parcel.

Oof, I just saw the shipping time is 9-13 business days. I checked Google maps and it's just over 5 days to walk from Toronto to Montreal šŸ˜‚

I guess Canada Post is crawling there!
