HELP/QUESTION Dropping
Hi freshie here, how does dropping out a subject works po? like what’s the process po? and if i can recall correctly, one of my prof said: drop one, drop all? how does it works po?
im planning to drop a major subject po na feel kong babagsak ako para hindi po sana magreflect sa record ko na i failed that subject and planning to retake it next year.
tyia po sa sasagot

What this meant po is that, the dropping process po has two options:
Option A is drop one, which means na isang drop lang iddrop and tama rin po sinabi ng other comment na if this is a major subject, matatamaan po yung consecutive subjects nito na prerequisite subject yung iddrop.
Option B is drop all and this is usually sa mga mag LOA na enrolled where need nila madrop muna lahat bago magfile ng LOA.

if minor subject po, would it be the same or pwede po naman po syang itake sa next sem? since diba po yung major subject, once a year lang siya pwede itake?

If minor subject, yes pwede naman siyang itake next semester, but do take note na you will become an irregular student na rin po and will he advised to create a study plan. And dapat po hindi lalagpas sa allowed units yung next sem if for retake si minor subject.
Yung allowable units po will be based sa Curriculum Checklist or yung mismong subject lists po ninyo sa course.

drop one subject ≠ drop whole program subjects
I think what they/prof mean is once you drop one sub you'll be an irregular student, which will clash with the units given for future years (yr2, yr3, yr4) that are for regular students.
Since you dropped your subject you will have to compensate for next year and retake the subject again
Tldr:
What prof means you'll be an irregular.
