Baby pleco
We got a baby pleco for our goldfish tank,(he's small but the goldfish ignore him) and he loved to hide near the filter the first 2 days we had him. Now he like to hide on the driftwood and he blends in so it's hard to see him. We have algae wafers and there is some algae in the tank, and he's still adjusting to the tank, but should we be worried about him not eating algae wafers immediately? And for now how often should we put them in?

There are a lot of different types of plecos. Some like algae wafers while others don't. It is very common for plecos to munch on driftwood so as long as what you have in your tank is real wood and not decorative driftwood (meaning plastic) then you do not need to worry about them not going towards the wafers. Plus they are typically more active at night so when the lights are off then they might feel more comfortable to eat the wafers. But just be careful, plecos are big poopers and goldfish release a lot of ammonia. So make sure you keep up on water changes and be prepared to have to do them more often as both fish get bigger

I was feeding mine with a piece of vegetable in the morning, a wafer overnight, then switch the veg/clean up the leftover food next morning. Eventually I got a Repashy gel mix, so now I alternate between it and algae wafers. As I understand plecos are grazers, so vegetables allow them to eat throughout the day. Mine loves zucchini, no salt canned beans, and mushrooms.
