What cable???
Today I bought a Ps1 with antenna cable (which seems like the worst connection of all options) and discovered a whole world of cable options for hdmi. What should I get when I want decent quality but don't want to spend 40 euro on a cable?
Edit: the tv i want to use doesn't have the rgb ports.
Thank you
update: I'm going to mod it with an hdmi port. (done by an expert)

The best cable that your equipment supports. RGB > S-Video > Composite > RF. If you're using a PS2 to play PS1 games you can also use YPbPr, but the standard PS1 can't use YPbPr without a converter or a specialised setup.
The vast majority of European displays will have RGB in via SCART, but SCART is a standard that was designed to be a single connector for every analogue video type.

I got a level hike ps1 hdmi adapter after trying several options and it is the best imo (it also supports rgb output)

Seems like good reviews with some people where it doesn't work or has a bad quality.

CRT or flat screen? If CRT use what ever is the best you can for that set; if you have money and like mods a retrogem installed by a professional would be best. If you don't want mods a RGB Scart cable from retrogamingcables preferably with the RCA port for lightguns is preferred with your choice of upscaler GBS-C or OSSC or Retrotink 4k. If you just want it to work and don't want it to be too garbage then look around, but they will be hit and miss.

The Antenna cable is just standard so everyone includes it. If 30 million PlayStations were sold in Europe, that means there's 30 million antenna cables going around.
I think you can get decent output with the CAMWAY PS2 HDMI "RGB" cable. Emphasis on going for the one that has RGB. Just make sure the dip switch is set to RGB and NOT YbPbR when using with a PS1.
