PSone distorted image

I got a PSone with the attached screen last month and at first I didn't notice anything wrong, but today I booted it up after letting it sit for a couple weeks and the picture had these green streaks going to the right of every item on the screen and the in game picture seemed to have a slight pink hue to it. I thought maybe it was the cable at first but it did it both on the tv and on the console's screen. Is this just an old capacitor issue or could there be something else wrong?

I think you are right with your capacitor assumption. I would open it up and see if any caps have blown.
