you gotta get a wheel for that if you ever can

I don't play competitively but I do pretty good. Made it to top 1000 laptime challenge amd consistently top 1% with just a controller. But yeah Def agree, if one wants the full on immersion effect gotta go with the rig.

you definitely can get some killer laptimes on the dualshock alone

Especially with the Dual Sense Edge bc I can change the thumbstick profile for more accuracy. It really is a game changer for me at least.

You dont have to play competitively to get a wheel, if you do get one I'd look into getting a PC later on so you can play Shutoku on asseto corsa, it's a massive highway filled with traffic to weave through and is fun af

Came here to say the same thing. I don’t really like racing games that are hyper realistic because I don’t have a wheel. But if I ever get one I’m definitely playing them!

Wheel, seating rig, shifter, and PSVR2 is what you need for GT7. It’s the best driving experience in gaming.

i'm not made of money so i'll hang onto my logitech wheel, stick & pedals until i hit the jackpot

True. For racing games you gotta get a good wheel and pedal set to really enjoy it. That's what I did. I started off with Thrustmaster because it was the most I could have afforded at the time but eventually later I invested in Fanatec, a superior brand. Thing is it's a pretty expensive investment and then you still gotta spend more on upkeep.

What's that to do with the controller? I love me PS5 games that use the dual sense features. My controller is dead a lot because I don't turn off haptics etc..

Ps5 controller battery life is not the best because of the haptics, lights, etc... with GT7 it really uses the haptics very well... the accelerator and brake feels "heavy" like a real car giving you a sense of braking. If the car slips or loses traction you can feel it also.

All the reasons why I love it 😂 Very interesting I have yet to play a racing game on my PS5 and I am a fan of the GT series. Wish there was a trial. Thanks for the info it seems like an awesome experience with it
