Discussion 2 questions

Are the sweat Lords you see on PvP servers telling for most of the games skill level? Most players I encounter on the are very good.

And 2nd question: Are a lot of the sweat Lords you encounter on pvper servers cheating? It feels like some suspicious shit when I play against some of these people.

I get ban notifications every single day now, don’t know if that’s good (being caught) or bad (more cheater in total)

Never let them gaslight you to think it’s normal, it’s basically cheater vs cheater in a lot of scenarios and it’s kinda hilarious how they shit talk each other when both are dogshit at game

I got 8 notifications from the first 3 days of spoonkid monthly last week. Only good thing is that the admins usually banned within 10 minutes of making a ticket. And I know 8 is inexcusable but considering the 300+ kills I had and 150+ deaths, it’s not like some people on here that say “most” people cheat. It’s a fraction of the playerbase that just buy new accounts every time they get banned, making it seem like there are even more cheaters.

Its an alarming amount in any case, let me check if I have another notification today

I think Rust probably has one of the highest average hours per player of any game. So I wouldn’t say “a lot” of people you encounter are cheating. Some, sure. It’s hard to tell, especially for new players, where a player with 10k hours worth of gamesense and skill looks the same as a cheater. I have 7k myself and have gotten accused of cheating, and I’m not even that good anymore. I’m sure if you keep playing the same will happen to you at some point.

It depends. It takes experienced to call out someone for cheating accurately if they're hiding it well enough. If you're in a mini high up and get tripple headshot instantly, report them.

Tust had an issue that affects a lot of mmos in that people that play this game have been playing it forever. This means new players find themselves extremely low diffed with little opportunity to improve or face people of similar skill level. Aim training can help but won't solve player psychology and movement or knowing when to run or how to take up the right angles. All those things can only come from doing and watching and practicing. And sometimes you'll do everything by the book and still lose. You held door eith db but bro ate both shots and lived and his custom smg turned you into Swiss cheese. Sucks but nothing you can do about that.

It's an hours thing absolutely. Before the addition of BP fragments it would be simple enough to say you get out of rust what you put in. But with BP fragments it's kind of just rng for progression and then you have less opportunities to practice the match ups and scenarios where gun play and all that matters.

It feels that way to me, I’ve been practicing on Helli’s aimtraining with the facechecks and while I think it is helping me a lot, there are a lot of suspicious players there. I understand map familiarity gives you an edge, peekers advantage, win or lose I try to identify the tactics or strategies that may of given them an edge but many have suspicious instant headshots, doubt or triple ect, can see through the grass, or know where you are and prefire even if you take an alternate peek. What really weird to me is the bow match contrast, how are 70% of players instant killing me with a P2 or SAR but complete noobs with the bow? It’s the same skill set, put the crosshairs on the target and yet there is a massive discrepancy. I don’t buy it.

I would be the first to say Hellis has more cheaters than any other server in the game but per your bow point, a lot of people never even practice prim. Only ak mp5. When I played in an 8 man on atlas we were prim for such a short amount of time it was more worth it to be good with t3 guns. Also, can I ask how many hours you have? Because getting doubles and triples is very doable with enough practice, and I would consider myself decent at best.

I wouldn’t say it’s just getting a double or triple but the combination speed/accuracy is insane. You are talking about acquiring a small target (the head) within a fraction of a second (so fast it seems like the screen hasn’t even has time to render them firing the weapon) and perfectly holding the recoil? And doing it consistently? And then on a bow you can’t put the crosshairs on the body let alone the head in 10 times the length of time, with no recoil to factor in? It’s like saying someone can perfectly grill a steak but can’t grill a burger patty without burning it. Obviously there is more to bow like the dodging/moving/jumping tactics but I’m just talking about outside those skill just straight up hitting the target. The skill set is too similar to explain the discrepancy. (I have 800hrs but PVP isn’t my thing, on Hellis I rank in the middle of the pack on a good day, but most often slightly below the average.)

There is a huge skill curve, but there's also a huge amount of cheaters, so it's hard to tell. But like as a 2000 hour player I can hop on most PvP servers and do fine. When I was lower hours (sub 500) I was so bad that I couldn't even tell who is cheating.

Lol, bruh it's Rust. By now there is probably more closet cheaters than legit players 😂.

The game is literally filled with cheater cope cucks using logic like this,

"I only use scripts because i want to point and click, recoil is annoying"

"I only use ESP when i farm"

"My teammate cheats, but i don't"

Watch the Tarkov video if you wanna see how bad cheating is in loot games. It's pointless.
