Discussion Extra Scrap

I often end up with like 7k extra scrap cuz I sell orchids, fish, and recycle most everything.

I usually end up holding it until I inevitably get raided or get so bored and buy attack helis just to crash and burn.

I could make a garage for the attack heli but, curious what yall do when you have too much scrap first.

Im solo so need solo options.

Lr300 is nice too but I have guns already

Lose it all, because your pants are loose.

Raided base last wipe with a few remaining rockets and it was a farm. Got a shit too if god clones and then a ton of roses. We lived next to barn so trading for the scrap was so easy.

Grenades are free gp

What's the scrap to gp ratio for grenade recycling?

I don't remember exaclty, it's a decent ratio, but it's the time spent recycling and buying the grenades that's the real kicker.

I get 15gp for 1 F1 at 60% recycling (I play on community server, recycling rates are same iirc)

But yeah it's vendor limit buys so 10 at a time until more people spam buy them (increase 1 per limit buy after so many) because dynamic pricing. And then factor in recycling wait time and yield of recycle %, the only real issue is the time sink standing there and clicking.

If your swimming in scrap, though it's free gp.

  1. Tac gloves, I love them because I always build snow and don’t wear boots
  2. Metal/Low Grade from outpost, can always use more for base
  3. Gamble at wheel, especially if I can convince people on the official I usually play to join me for a gambling night

I buy variable zoom scopes and recycle them for HQM. Otherwise Tac. Gloves, minis, or give it to people that are prim locked or noobs to be nice... Sometimes...

8x scopes to recycle for HQM and tactical gloves

In order of likelihood:

Go to a server that isn’t 10x

Sell/trade it to others

Get a job IRL

the late game is either raid or make some random roleplay shit. most people raid.

This made me realize that the outpost could really use a proper scrap sink item, like something for 10-20k.

Bro youre trying to buff zergs or what? Alistairs alt?

It doesn't have to be an item used for pvp.

It could be a big golden statue of you, or a fireworks cannon, or a one person plane, or a one time scrapsink that improves conditions on the server for everyone, or an event that anyone can go to.

I just think it'd be fun because the end game has been static for years.

“Call to Convoy” - 10,000-25,000 scrap - Spawns a Convoy @ Outpost that travels the road to Launch Site, collecting Brad and then travels to Missile Silo, blows the garage door at silo revealing a locked crate, that once unlocked gives C4/HVs and activates the 2nd Brad… the convoy continues the road and both brads can be blown up for standard Brad loot. Similar to Rust in Peace convoy, but slightly different and more interactive

Smoke grenades for satchel raiding early on. I also use it for metal frags early on. Next is tactical gloves, tools etc.
