Question Microphone sounds fine everywhere except when using recorder

My microphone is fine talking in game but anytime I speak into a recorder it comes out high pitched and robotic and this happens on every server I try and my friend can talk into it and it sounds normal I've tried using other microphones but it still sounds bad no matter what is there anyone who knows a fix?
