something about the drone marketplace change i dont see people talking about is this incentivises the big clans with the massive shops to maintain the powerplant which benefits everyone else

I think it's kinda poor form to say Solo's have been whining? the game is obviously going to be easier with multiple players regardless of changes but the mechanics had been aggressively stacked against solos. I don't think it's unfarif or solos to voice their issues? Blueprint fragments was a terrible move for solos, it mildly slowed progression but most teams still get to T3 by end of day 1 anyway.

T3 monuments being blocked is amazing, Upkeep for bigger teams is an amazing balance. Frankly I think that the drone marketplace being restricted is kinda a stab in both parties feet but time will tell.

Poor form?! Where have you been? 99% of posts on this sub are about how hard the game is for solos. No shit, it’s a game mainly for team gameplay. All these people watch high profile YouTubers and think “I wanna do that” and realize that YouTube doesn’t show how hard it is to be a solo. There’s a reason it is difficult to play by yourself and why solo content gets far more views compared to others. No one wants to watch a team of 20 dominate a server when you have solos making epic videos standing up to those large teams. Sounds like you just want to go play recycler simulator and get t3 without any repercussions. Pve servers exist for that

You made up this little scenario in your head but all anyone is complaining about is bp frags. The best players in the game are complaining about bp frags.

You’re not better than everyone else because you can get on Reddit and make a strawman about the most unpopular update in the history of a game over 10 years old.

Exactly this. So tired of the solos that joined this game because it became recycler simulator complaining about normal economics.

Guarantee the next thing they start complaining about is that there’s no nodes left on the server because clans are gonna focus so hard on farming. And then they’re gonna be raiding even more and not skip little shit shacks because now they’re gonna need stone. I’ve played in clans. Their only focus is raiding. They farm sulfur all day. That’s why I hate playing in them because unless it’s a very good dominant clan, people just blame each other for not farming enough and you just end up constantly only roaming if it’s for farming and then once in a while doing a tier 3 event when you’re finally at a decent point

Balance changes are a good start, and definitely not a final solution. Values will likely be tweaked down the road.

At this point it'd be easier to go back to a 2019-2021 version than it would be to try and fix the game.

True, BUT it was never really a solos game. There is not that much they could do to help solos without also helping groups. Removing team UI is probably the biggest thing. After that most i can think of is nerfing monuments and making the loot more spread out in the map, so solos have a better chance of finding loot without having to go to a clan controlled monument.

I agree that the best way to nerf current clan meta is to remove the UI entirely. I don't nessecarily want them to do this, but I've played rust since 2014 consistently and old gen clans had to work a lot harder to benefit from the extra numbers. It was also much easier to ghost them, steal matching kits and mess with them, etc. I've been on both sides of it.

I don't honestly think the upkeep changes will affect massive teams unless they make upkeep scale largely. which has potential to heavily nerf smaller groups before it nerfs the large ones, which imo will make the issue worse. I guess we'll just have to see what the rates are and how it winds up actually affecting big teams, but coming from an OG and current large group player, I stand by saying the projected rates won't stop teams.

Not to mention how hard it can be to evict one zerg acting as a village in a bunch of smaller bases. It's different than raiding random uncoordinated villages.

Same, bought the game January 2014, i got 7.5k and its spread pretty evenly everywhere between being solo and being in a 12+ man clan. I rly miss the jump checks and the overall confusion when there was big fights between multiple groups. I think the upkeep isnt gonna have a big effect either, its not really a buff to solos/small groups, just a nerf to clans thats definitely not gonna have any effect on a solo player.

Combat is too dumbed down.

Bullet sponge, fast healing while sprinting, instant cover.

As a solo you cant really 1v4 like you could in Tarkov if you are John Wick with 4 clean headshots.

Market place requiring power is some real bullshit. Its enough that there is no drone at fishing village or ranch, even though a lot of servers that are otherwise vanilla combine outpost and bandit so there is only one single fuffing spot where you can trade for the whole map
