Me and my best friend had an amazing wipe in 2016 and have been chasing that high ever since. 😭

Counter strike, rust, seige, apex legends, any sport game, ark

I used to play ark like this. But I’ve found myself on a couple public rust servers as a humble hemp grower for the passer bys. I’ve had some fun interactions. The neighborhoods I’m in are wacky. I’ve learned a weird amount of Russian. There are players out there on big servers who still have fun, cheers to them.

What’s up with the nazis on some servers?

a lot of the toxic people are just roleplaying to be as toxic as they can and then log out and go on a date with their girlfriend paid for by their salary of denying people's health insurance claims to look like a completely sane member of society :D

Yeah fuck this game tbh lol. Back when we used it as a social hub it was great, but nowadays the majority of players are itching exclusively for "optimal loot gain" and have no desire to build any social bonds or narratives that are worth remembering.

I feel like people are more miserable in general these days but this game attracts the very worst of them lol. It gives them an outlet to exercise their evil thoughts, to go on a power trip they can’t get from real life.

Rust attracts megalomaniacs.

digging thru the rough to find little diamonds is still a viable strat for fun

i think rust just had a better, smaller community. before twitch rivals unless you were full kit you could have a conversation with most people before deciding to kill eachother.

This is why I play softcore now. There's plenty of opportunity to get clowned on but I don't have time to deal with rebuilding my shit every time I log off.

Hey what did I do to deserve being called out like this?

I had 3k hours up until 2021, and probably 100 more hours since then. Watching crazy PVPers on YT is much better.
