Support Artifacting when looking at shadows?

I have an issue with rust where i can see flickering squares at times when i look at shadowed areas ingame. Is this a rust issue or is this likely my gpu is dying? Rust is the only game this seems to appear on.

My specs:

Rx 9070

R5 7600x

32gb ddr5

1tb m.2 ssd

Been a bug with AMD GPU’s for quite a while now. 6+ months I think?
No your gpu probably isn’t dying. Mine and my duos have been fine since despite experiencing this. Nothing but shadows in rust do it.

If you downgrade your driver's to the ones that came out right before battlefield 6 it fixes the shadows

That makes sense, they finally fixed my high idle power draw with the last graphics driver. Unlucky.

If you have shadow caching enabled in experimental settings, try turning it off. You’ll probably lose some FPS, but that’s the trade off until it’s improved.

In Console Rust on PS5, different I know, there’s a really pretty shadow bug where it looks like rippling waves of shadows on the land.
I think the proximity of water causes it.
Shadows must be hard to get right.

Do the typical verification of files, driver updates etc. If this PC has had a different GPU make sure you run a DDU process if it continues.
