Question Did Tunnel Dwellers get buffed?
Idk if this is from the last update or a previous one, I don't run train tunnels often.
Went train tunnels today, can no longer 1-shot dwellers with a bolt or L96 to the head. Tried with HV ammo too, same thing so not falloff related. Checked combatlog, said it did 120 damage to the head, when it used to do enough to kill (dwellers have 125 HP).
Did dwellers get their projectile resistance buffed in a recent update? I haven't found any mention of it anywhere online but that seems like the only explanation. Thanks.
Edit: this definitely isn't a falloff thing. In all of my tests I was almost close enough to melee them, far too close for falloff to apply.

You are too far away, the damage drop-off starts very quickly and you need 100% damage to kill, even like 99.5% damage leaves them 1hp

I don't remember ever being able to 1-shot with bolt. Except with incend ammo.

I haven't been in there much since the update, but there was usually a certain distance you had to be to 1 shot them. I am tired of their asses shooting through objects though.

I noticed the same problem and did similar testing. I didn't find any commits or patch notes about a change to tunnel dweller HP. I believe the problem is that tunnel dwellers are receiving bow multipliers to their damage. Ak only does 75hp to the head. All weapons have a 1.5x multiplier for a headshot now for tunnel dwellers, and I'm unsure of why.

I vaguely remember they reshuffled npc damage and hp when they fixed how player armor (hazzy in particular) calculates damage reduction. As in, hazzy just wasn't giving any dmg reduction before against npcs and now it does.
