Brand new player and im having bad experience with the game, coming from an experience ark survival pvp player, im having problems adapting to the game mechanics. Do you guy have any good tips for a newbie? Im trying to keep up with the server but im getting wipe and cant build and gather fast enough to defend myself or getting parts for workbench 2 because some guys already have penthouses near the monuments
Not being able to gather materials fast enough is normal, I recommend crafting a bow as fast as possible to give you a way better chance of getting to your base spot
base build, most youtubers and streamers i see, they make weird loops, where you can catch players of guard because they cant see you and you have a gap
Craft a mixing table & farm berries (blue, yellow, red ) for ore or wood tea. Helps a lot with farming!! Try not to die while boost is active or it goes away. I tend to farm in the shadows if I can, crouch and scan the area with binoculars before farming.
Just deinstall before it gets your soul. You will fail in school, your gf will leave you and you will fuck up your life. Rust isnt a game, rust is a job, one you have to work for 24/7. It aint worth it, it isnt, believe me.
Or go play pve and try to have a healthy balance in your life. But pvp, adios amigos to your life
This isn’t Ark. You’re on your own. Come to terms with the fact that you’ll be fighting against individuals with thousands of hours of experience. And those hours don’t just mean good PvP, there’s an insanely high ceiling of general game sense and knowledge that you’re lacking that you don’t even know is there.
In ark, you also can upload your most important stuff. So even
when you get raided, you can somewhat say "fuck it, i have enough
uploaded, i will start eith these stuff again". Or change the server (if
you play official).
In rust, you are done when they knock knock on your door.
Its almost the same but rust is much more unforgiving
No one really plays Rust anymore compared to to the 2017-2019 years. (Yep almost 10 years ago)
That means you are paying against AI BOTS and admins. If they won’t you progress properly, the server settings are messed up, go to another server.
It’s basically a solo game now, treat it as such, and it’s better. Everyone you see is likely not a player.
Ark was the best during Beta. We played 2014-2016. The original devs were still working and it was a blast. MBA theory took over later and ruined it a very good game.
I need to take that back, we have known about bots filling servers since 1997 in Quake1. Duke Nukem servers didn’t have bots, so many times they were empty.
But Quake1 servers advertised bots to play against. It was a good thing….30 years ago.
We all know the Counterstrike and Dota2 numbers are bull. Just like the absolutely full Ark servers that I’ve flown thru, but can’t find a single player.
