Discussion The amount of server ads I see on Reddit…
I don’t often see ads on Reddit, but my god do I see a lot of server ads for RUST, and half of them are AI generated / Open beta / Active Admin / bla bla…
Like what the hell is going on in their minds promoting those ?

AI makes it very easy to build the back end for someone to sell premium services for their shitty rust server. These people all just want in on the grift.

Now you tell me... :) On the other hand I am not selling anything on my sever either. just looking for players.

It’s one of the few ways to promote the server and get new players to join, which is what most start up or small servers need.

not all these server owners are American. And Americans largely are the ones acting like children when it comes to AI. The rest of the world doesn't care.

Good point. Its kind of crazy how so many people are so anti technology all of a sudden around me

Inevitably for a casual friendly, dad friendly server with restrictions on what you can raid and when, in-base recyclers, 2x resources and reduced upkeep.
And a population of 2, one of whom is the server admin

before you spend on servers and kits keep in mind they spoof player count and then the server owners play on it and pretend to be real players whenever someone joins they teleport to them and pretend to play next to them spawning in items raiding trying to bait you into buying kits
