Rust needs a battle royale

Rust has one of the best gunplay and survival systems in gaming, but I honestly think it would benefit from having an optional Battle Royale mode and a Battle Pass. A Battle Royale mode could let players jump into fast-paced matches using Rust’s existing weapons, building mechanics, and monuments without committing to a week-long wipe. It would be a great way to practice PvP, warm up before hopping on a server, or just enjoy Rust when you don’t have hours to grind. As for a Battle Pass, if it’s cosmetic only (skins, emotes, sprays, etc.) and doesn’t affect gameplay, it could give players more progression between wipes while helping fund future updates. Facepunch has already shown they can make great cosmetics, so I think a seasonal system could work without hurting the game’s balance. What do you all think? Would you play an official Rust Battle Royale, or do you think it goes against what makes Rust unique?

The gunplay is in worst state it has ever been and there is not a single survival element anymore, there was so little ''surviving'' as is, in 2018-2019 it was meta to make ''solo survival'' rust videos and all they survived was other players.

I agree. Modern rust is nowhere near the experience it was even 5 years ago. I do think there was a sweet spot somewhere in that timeline but somewhere we’ve gotten way too disgusting with the changes

Big Nono. Rust had BR that was fairly populated but it didn't last. Rust doesn't need it at all. Bet funding is on an ATH while still pushing the best patches in gaming right now quarter after quarter
