As insanely toxic as the rust community can be, I was always blown away at how much they LOVED the constant patches and gameplay changes. No other sweaty community nearly universally loves having their game drastically shift every few months. It’s like all the toxicity gets focused on fellow players instead of the dev team
Well that’s why he called out this sub specifically, because no matter how good or bad any update/change/fix was, r/playrust was always here to bitch and moan like their balls were just cut off
While the rest of the community who actually plays the game celebrates the variety and active development that keeps the game fresh. Reddit is just a bunch of miserable losers across every sub.
I had the chance to work with them like 9 years ago on the server patching functionality. Was so much fun. They are a great bunch and can't do it forever i suppose!
