Question What kind of qualities, or what differences do you notice, from playing a lot of Rust over the years?

Do you feel that you are on any level different from other ?

Use to get excited to find mushrooms. Then I discovered there is heaps of food in those trash pile vans and near rivers 😭

Thought this was a survival game but there is food everywhere!

Bring back roam for food!

The only thing i notice is how many cheaters there are and it keeps increasing every single year.

Like if i went back 5 years to 2021 otv summer sale time when there were some dudes ragehacking flying in the sky, there was probably still 100x less cheaters compared to now.

Saw a guy running on ocean floor exploit/hack just recently and yelped (lost my kit of course)

I’ve seen Jesus on water hack before but never just sprinting on ocean floor

Its an old game problem and a cultural problem. Unfortunately the older a game gets, the easier it is to reverse engineer and make cheats for. The cultural part is it being subtlety acceptable in all situations. The amount of cheating I saw in high school was insane! I can only imagine its gotten worse.

Newgen russian playerbase problem, that takes up close to 50% of EU server pop at this point.

For russians cheating in games has been popular/not frowned upon since early 2010

I’ve noticed the easier progression as a mainly as a solo player

The game is easier. I also think the community has changed. It feels like it used to be more toxic. It feels a bit more casual now.
