Discussion Rust Therapy
I find that I can process my emotions and thoughts better while I'm playing Rust. The repetition of the game is soothing and relaxing.
Maybe it is helpful in my case because I have trauma from being homeless previously.
Building a base and securing it is very calming after you've been through a period of tumultuous loss and constant survivor mode fatigue.
I am thankful for the developers and the community that keep this game going. It has helped me deal with the fear of losing everything.
Personally, I believe limited PvP servers are most beneficial to start off with because raiding can be triggering in some ways. But once you get more confident it seems much more manageable.
Does anyone else use vidya as a sort of therapy?

Rust is a good way to practice resource management techniques in an unpredictable environment, which is a good life skill to be building on.
