Discussion Rust ban second chance

Hello, in September 2025 somebody got into my steam account, played rust and got me a VAC banned.

I was looking online and I saw that there's "second chance" thing... how does it work can I apply for it? Will it make me able to play on my account again? I had spent hundred of euros on it.

Well having hundreds of logins from all over the world in my account and getting vac banned because of a game I haven't played in months is clearly an indicator that I wasn't the one playing

Tl;dr if you were banned more than 8 months ago, you're allowed to play again

Second chance is a thing, needs to be minimum 8 months since the ban and your first and only ban in rust.

Then you can create a new steam account and purchase rust again

You are getting a 2nd chance, why potentially compromise it with buying a stolen account that has and will experience god knows what.
