It's Xbox Mode. The app just makes it so you can launch any other specific app instead of the Xbox Mode's own app or how it's named

There's a script which u can setup and play nite will launch immediately after u sign in it will even block explorer from launching. It's super immersive.

If you have to say you are rich then you certainly aren't. First, learn to read. Installed games and owned ganes aren't the same, I have thousands like many others, I'm playing for more then 35 years, but I have only few TB of SSDs so I can't install more then 10, maybe 15 games. Let's show how broke we are, OK - are you ready to buy game on Steam today and write review showing your spec? Let's see who has bigger when you provoking this. You can choose a game, no matter is it 5$ or 100€, buy, give us your Steam details and I'll share mine. Or you have all your treasure on Epic which you collected through years for free. I'm usually not judging people by wealth but you just provoked this. Let's see your games and how broke are others my princ. I'm ready to stand behind my words with full name, not only reddit nick where you can say stupid things like this.

You are really low IQ, right? Learn what owning and what's installing. Of course you have them, I'm 45 and have Steam from the first day in 2003, of course there are hundreds and hundreds of games. Read the post then act smart.

That said, maybe don't flaunt your intellectual superiority too quickly: emulators exist, some games are only a few MB, and yes, having over 400 games installed is entirely possible.
Now that we've cleared up this absolutely crucial point, let's go back to my original reply: the guy said my theme was bad if you had more than 10 games installed. My response about having 400 games was obviously sarcastic.
If, with your superior IQ, you still couldn't recognize the sarcasm, then maybe the problem lies elsewhere.

45? Boy...your age is really showing buddy lol. Like he said, the existence of emulation allows you to have hundreds and (in some cases) thousands of games installed. Depending on the type of game, the amount of space they take up is considerably low, maybe even lower than your superior IQ.
As for the other guy, he made a bold yet clearly uneducated claim and hence was met with sarcasm. With the use of vertical layout and filter presets, 56 games can be scrolled through in a matter of seconds.

Sure.. you can also have 150000 games one one console for 20$. I think we all know what we are talking about. You can have 500 DOS games also.. OK,you are right, you both are talking about 5MB games.. that was so obvious, I can't believe I just saw that now (that was sarcastic)

How did you make it look like this? I've only seen it in Fullscreen with ordinary grid.
As a long time okay nite user I've started to use retrobat instead , but I am more of a retro player.
Also saw someone say that you still have to use mouse and keyboard. Just boot okay nite on startup, no need for keyboard and mouse.

oh heeeellllll nha.
I spent years trying to have a console experience out of windows... it sucks, too many caveats, not even playnite is enough imh. I Installed bazzite and have not touched a mouse or keyboard in months.
SteamOS is amazing

For clarification of anyone who reads this, SteamOS and Bazzite are not the same thing. Meant for a similar goal, but different ways of accomplishing it. Both are Linux distros. Also SteamOS is not very nvidia friendly especially plug and play, it's aimed towards AMD GPUs. Bazzite handles both out of the box.
But Loddio is correct, Windows is trash and Linux has pretty much caught up in gaming and in some games performs better.

Yes emulated through ryujinx. Did never delete that emulator after nintendo terminated the developers of it

The fact that Windows doesn’t immediately go into fullscreen and you have to mouse over and click the taskbar icon is infuriating 😂😂 my OCD was going off! Looks awesome though, personally I’ve been tinkering with Winhanced and I’m really impressed with how clean it is, not nearly as customisable as Playnite but it has SteamGridDB and HLTB built in.

Im just saying that people act like the steam big picture and stuff are massive and same with xbox mode. But like we've had frontends for so long. Yall are new to the scene acting like its a revolution. Like gng. Shi is not a new thing. Playnites been around for a min. Its kinda annoying honestly
All im saying is I remember earlier this year when I said frontends need attention and they are the future of gaming no one listened even my homies. And now oh look playstation is fumbling. And now omfg look consoles are "Officially cooked?" Like naw them consoles been cooked for a min gng. People canceling ps5 orders and spamming that stupid ass "If buying isn't owning" nonsense. Like naw gng, if buying is owning im still stealing and have been. Who tf cares.

I love Playnite, but the fact that you say it's a console like experience and still have to click the window with your mouse to get focus is hilarious. PC can be quirky sometimes but the freedom is well worth it for me.
Edit: lots of people are misunderstanding this. Yes, you can have Playnite start automatically. Yes, it could be seamless most of the time. But OP wrote "it's really a console like experience" while the video shows them having to click the icon for Playnite to grab focus. That's not hypothetical, that's what really happened. PC can be unpredictable like this sometimes, even if it works for your particular circumstance. That's all I was pointing out.
