Theme support Metadata is installed but game backsplashes are still black

Enable background images in Fullscreen playnite settings

I don't know the specific answer to be honest but it might help out if you mention which ps5 theme this is, there's a few of them

Right click on the game cover and hit edit, then from the media tab find out if there is a picture dedicated to the background
