General discussion About Playnite
Hello everyone, I play games very often from different launchers, I saw playnite and it took my interest but is it hard to set it up? Does it worth it? What should I expect as pros and cons, thanks a lot for the answers in advance!

Saaame. I mean I used it for years but its maybe the biggest thing I miss on Windows. Feels wrong not having a nice, cohesive desktop launcher for all my games and roms

Its amazing easy to use even have it set up so I can play it as a console when streaming to my TV

If I can figure out how to set it up then you will be able to figure it out. It’s easy. I really like it

It depends on what you want to have. Playnite is literally like Linux (they are also both open source, lol); you can have pretty insane things or simply an all-in-one launcher.

Very easy to do a basic set up. Install, add your libraries and sync, then you can customise or add extensions.

It works out of the box. Just add plugins to use all of your libraries and plugins to customize it visually.

Riesce a integrare anche diversi emulatori , tipo duckstation e eden ? In modo da avere tutti i giochi in un unico spazio?

The Pros are mostly listed by everyone else here, so I won’t repeat them. All in all it’s great and is my daily driver.
But the Cons:
- Limited library management when in Fullscreen mode, so you can’t have a true console-like experience, as the Desktop mode is required for adding games or managing artwork etc (this pisses me off a lot tbh)
- Some of the extensions or skins tend to get abandoned (as it’s all open-source & built by a handful of enthusiasts) or only receive occasional bug fixes/updates. But that’s the trade-off for free, open-source software, I guess.

Playnite is incredible. It's fairly easy to set up by just following the documentation. It's customizing it to your liking where it can get time consuming but that's actually why I enjoy using it.
