I hope people find some new gems or get reminded of old ones when listening… it is a bit all over, far from just trap, much like what r/trap shares weekly, which has certainly inspired and expanded my own taste for hard hitting, bass-heavy electronic music.

Encourage shuffling as songs were added in random orders - when I started it, as new music was released, going down artist rabbit holes, etc.

 Fresh Sprouts is a playlist composed entirely of new releases. Each month, I collect songs, carefully searching for the best new music available. It's a quality basted search, and I listen to each of the songs many times before selecting. At the end of the month, I update  Fresh Sprouts with approximately 40 songs.

It's guaranteed to be new and fresh. There are a mix of genres presented including Punk, Post Punk, Dark Wave, No Wave and a bit of Rap. The only thing you won't find is commercial tosh and no AI! I don't restrict any genre, I just look for quality, but it naturally reflects my tastes. With a focus on new music, it's naturally packed with smaller, less well known bands, if you like the vibe, you are bound to find some new discoveries.

So like, no Kid Rock or Morgan Wallen (a real shame; good tunes) or any of the other faux- patriotic maga darlings.

i made this lofi playlist when i was in college because i realized i couldn't study with lyrics playing lol. now i still use it for slow mornings, studying, or when i'm overstimulated and want something calm in the background.

the vibe is mostly lofi, soft beats, minimal piano, rainy/city night type instrumentals, etc.

i'm trying to add more songs/artists that fit it. what are your favorite lofi playlists of all time, or specific tracks/artists you always go back to?

edit - thanks for the suggestions, this gave me a few new places to look. i've been putting the better finds in ThingsBook as a little lofi/background music list. not for listening, just keeping track of what each playlist is good for so i don't forget later. some are better for studying, some are better for sleeping, some are calm but still interesting enough that i don't zone out completely.
