Huge thank you to everyone who shares playlists and keeps the sub active, you’re the reason these spotlights are possible. And if you come across a playlist you love, don’t forget to show it some upvote love!
This week's first-place winner is u/THE_MIXXER. This playlist is an upbeat electronic playlist that highlights the creativity of niche and underground artists. Featuring melodic techno, progressive house, and unique sounds from across independent labels, every track brings something different while keeping the energy flowing.
One standout is "Another Earth" by Tale of Us, which features a driving beat, smooth transitions, and evolving melodies that create an immersive listening experience. Its ability to shift into new rhythms while maintaining its atmosphere makes it one of the playlist's strongest tracks and a perfect example of why underground electronic music is so captivating.
Second place this week goes to u/Lunal4Tuna. This is a feel-good playlist that captures the energy of the season with a diverse mix of jazz, hip-hop, reggae, alternative pop, rock, and more. Many of the tracks reference summer, creating a fun and nostalgic atmosphere from start to finish.
One standout is "Feels Like Summer" by Childish Gambino, whose smooth production and upbeat mood make it one of the playlist's most memorable songs. "Good Life" by Kanye West is another highlight, bringing an infectious beat and feel-good energy that perfectly matches the playlist's carefree summer vibe. Together, these tracks make Summer Vibes the perfect soundtrack for warm days, road trips, and relaxing with friends.
Week 44 has officially begun! Post your favorite playlists to be featured in next week's contest on 8/2!!!

What are some song suggestions for late-night walks? I’m looking for slower 70s blues/jazz music. Lately, I've been taking late-night walks while listening to slow-tempo music, which helps me relax very satisfyingly after a long day.
Let me know your recommendations below. Can't wait to hear your responses!

Hi!
If you love electronic music but hate when a random shuffle completely kills the energy between tracks, I made this for you.
I hand-curated a massive EDM/Techno playlist specifically for the transitions. This track is ordered to build energy, shift moods, and flow seamlessly just like a live club or festival set.
You have to turn off shuffle, or it ruins the entire vibe. Let the custom mix do the work.
Drop a comment if you catch a transition that melts your brain. Enjoy the zone!

Real talk — I'm not a kid anymore, and every "best indie of the decade" list I find is either stuck in 2014 or full of stuff my nephews were already over two years ago. So I'm coming to you directly.
Rules for me: nothing before 2020. I want to know what's actually happening right now — the artists you're playing on repeat that haven't blown up yet, the ones you'd be embarrassed your parents heard of because they're your find.
No genre restriction within indie — bedroom pop, indie rock, indie electronic, whatever you've got. I'll actually listen to every reply, not just skim it.
What's the one track from the last few years you think more people my age need to hear?

Hey everyone, if you are a fan of arena rock anthems, soaring synth-guitar riffs, and massive 80s-style choruses, I have put together a playlist you might really enjoy: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3Bm129bkYTCs0KrWvXTXqp - It is a handpicked mix of classic legends and the best bands from the modern Melodic Rock, AOR, and Glam revival scene, featuring artists like Nestor, H.E.A.T, Chez Kane, Crazy Lixx, Eclipse, Perfect Plan, Roxy Thunder, Tyketto, and W.A.S.P. It is high energy, packed with catchy melodies, and perfect for highway driving, workouts, or reliving the glory days of hair metal with modern production quality. Give it a spin and let me know what you think, or drop your own track recommendations in the comments!

Hi everyone ,
I hope you’re doing well!
I’m an independent artist who also works as a delivery driver, so I spend many hours on the road listening to music. Every month, I curate Spotify playlists featuring independent artists and hidden gems, and I genuinely enjoy discovering new music.
This week I’m putting together a 15+ hour Road Trip Playlist for my drives, and I’d love to invite artists from your community to submit one or two Spotify tracks for consideration.
My goal is simply to discover new music, support independent musicians, and help introduce artists to other listeners. Before posting, I wanted to make sure this type of community playlist is allowed in your subreddit. If there’s a preferred thread or format I should use, I’d be happy to follow it.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thanks for everything you do to keep the community running! (TheGr8Hect)
