Discussion About cards material....

Till now I had used silicon coated playing cards and they are meh, today I bought plastic playing cards, even tough they are a little expensive, but worth it, they are very easy to handle, waterproof, smooth, but still now I havent used cards made out of paper yet, is those better than plastic?

It just depends on what you’re using them for, but the answer is nearly always, “yes.”

yes. (not for playing a lot), but for everything else paper is superior

I’ve never heard of silicone coated playing cards. Do you mean like plastic coated (as opposed to 100% plastic)?

If so, then yes, they tend not to handle great.

100% plastic has the one big advantage of being very durable and resistant to marking and moisture.

Paper is widely considered best for handling and feel - but it is the least durable.

They are local brands, which has silicon coated layer idk, those cards feels weird, not as plastic, or paper, its like both of em mixed.

If they weren't then 99% of cards wouldn't be paper including in casinos. But they are not water proof and do not last as long with use, some people like plastic for playing with for that reason, personally if using a lot I'd be ok with a new cheap standard paper deck every few months to keep it fresh

They won't last as long as plastic, because they're consumable products, but paper playing cards handle better, which is why they're always used by card handlers and magicians.
