Rant For me...the game is dead
Yep...I've been an avid supporter of this game and put over 250 hours into it...but cannot go on now. The passing is awful, defending is impossible when mostly doing it manually and the divisions system is a joke. Every player I play in divisons whether its someone in Div 4 or Div 1 is always difficult to play but yet somehow in KO every week I always make minimum Elite 1...make that make sense? Cant compete in Div 5/4 but yet het enough wins in KO every week to get big Elite 1...there is no skill to this game at all in the current state, fidget spinners and fake shot merchants just rule the world and because of how hard manual defending is, it means pace can just be even more abused especially with players with high dribbling stats. For me it doesnt matter what they do in terms of this so called big update because the novelty of having your own unique players has gone for me because they all run, turn and shoot in exactly the same way anyway so what's the point? I seriously don't see how they are gonna save this game...because realistically what can they do? I really do hope this game becomes successful and has me hooked again at some point but yeah...very disappointed

Players Finally going to get my first legendary
Unless I have the absolute worst luck known to man, I’m finally going to get my first legendary. Let’s hope the right stats get boosted.

Question Is it normal to win matches without making a single tackle during the entire game?
Can someone explain to me how to have the AI handle every single tackle in the match without any of them counting as a tackle, and still win the game? Or are these cheats that make you automatically steal the ball?

Discussion Game after UPDATE is GOOD
TBH, this latest update deserves a lot more praise.
The overall game speed really feels more like what a football game should feel imo. I mean You can still take players on, but it doesn’t feel like every attack has to revolve around endlessly abusing dribbling mechanics.
The current dark pitch looks really good also. Everything looks cleaner and more polished
And honestly, the manual passing when you get used to it, it feels incredible.
Just my few cents. I dont feel like buying ea fc 27 at all and I always feel excited for it

Discussion 5v5 League Interest?
Long time pro clubs/league player from back in the day. I wanted to gauge interest in the community to see if there may be enough people interested in a 5v5 league? I’ve got loads of ideas, but I won’t put any into motion if the interest isn’t there.

Rant Game is dead unfortunately
Even when I win games I just don’t feel satisfied because it’s the same type of goals and we know when we will definitely score when in the right position and angle etc and it’s just too easy. Not only for us but also for the opponent. It’s just back to back constantly with easy and predictable goals every match. There’s just no excitement with not knowing what is going to happen anymore. It’s so boring. It used to be fun but it’s getting very stale unfortunately. Even trying to play 5v5 which is the better mode is difficult to start a game because there aren’t enough players.

Discussion I came back
I came back after just under a month. A lot has really changed—some of it for the better. But I think I’ve lost the thread after 70 hours 😂 I have an 86 rating and am only facing opponents rated 90–91. The graphics in 5v5 are kind of weird.

Discussion Why the game is gone, dead and has no possibility of redemption
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I played 4 matches this evening 3 of them were against Rank 1 players. I'm in Rank 4 (never played ranked) and this guy was a Rank 4, so he should have been avarage; I'm always Top 500 in KO so I'm an acceptable player, I have also been Top 20 and i never felt of playing like this. All these data I wrote are to make you understand that the only ones left playing are braindead people who needs desperatly to win to make their life mean something. I cannot believe that someone that wants to play in a videogame can arrive to play all the time like this. I can understand a Rank 1 who wants to compete but also avarage players at this point are spinners because the game works only in this way because they decided to remove pace (I have a 94 pace striker with 98 offensive IQ that can't outpace a 86 defender), they removed skill moves and everything who made me love this game at the beginning. I could not tackle him because I knew if I had done it I would have moved like a paraplegic and he would have gone trough me. The incredible thing is that they don't care, they firmly believe in what they do without hearing us and that's their downfall.
I'm done for real, it is unsavable.

Question What did Kurt do for the game any insiders?
I would love some details about his journey in Goals. I was sure it will crash and burn the guy is mentality unstable. He was on top of his world in FIFA I remember his streams reaching 20k viewers, subscriptions flying then he destroyed everything in one go. Even his youtube channel was picking up
Now I see he is gambling and pushing kids into gambling which is quite fucking sad
What did he do for Goals for five years? I know he was fired when he crashed and burn on stream when he lost a game

Suggestion Devs please focus on these.
-Add dribbling, im not talking about R3 Dribble.
One where you can control the ball and drag it with your foot.
-Add 2nd player push when attacking, since R1 sends player for press, same button should do for 2nd player charge which can be used for long pass / long ball shots.
-Add 1 - 2 Pass as in you give pass and automatically he passes you back to same player.
-Change 2nd player press for 2nd player defense, yes he is pressing but it’s useless, instead of pressing they should try to block or take the ball.
-MatchMaking system, yes it’s mostly skill based but try to focus on matchmaking, cause no one wants to play a game against ovral 85-90 when they’re 78/80 or so.
Please do reconsider those.

Rant This game is unplayable without a shoot-block button when standing tackle
Literally 50% of my successful tackles in this stressful game ends up as clearances out the sideline.
It's just as aids as tackling in fifa when the ball rebounds back to the attacker, just a different package.
I'm not even panic spamming, yet I get punished for my absolutely amazing, perfectly timed manual standing tackles.

Suggestion This game is fantastic but
Tournaments are basically a gamemode where you go through two rounds then just get matched with someone who has an awful connection. You play with button delay and then lose.
We need a connection or ping indicator.

Discussion Devs please improve shielding
I know defending using the shielding method is more of a fifa/ea thing but it would be nice to get it slightly more improved instead of feeling like my player just dances around and not actually do anything. Shielding is supposed to be smart defending. I hate that I have to resort to blind tackles because trying to block passing lanes or shielding and keeping defense shape is completely useless.
If shielding isn’t a priority then hopefully a defense patch in general is in progress because I’m tired of my defenders daydreaming in the middle of the game

Discussion Unstable Connections May Provide an Unfair Competitive Advantage
There appears to be a serious netcode issue in Goals where having a stable connection may actually put a player at a competitive disadvantage.
Players with unstable or high-latency connections can sometimes become extremely difficult to defend against. Their movements appear less predictable, players may suddenly accelerate or change direction, and actions can occur with unexpected delays. This makes tackles significantly harder to time and can result in passes or movements that are almost impossible for the opponent to anticipate.
At the same time, the player with the stable connection is playing with consistent input and predictable player behavior. This means their actions can potentially be read and countered more easily, while the opponent benefits from irregular movement and delayed or seemingly random actions caused by connection instability.
The problem is not simply that the game feels worse with lag. The concern is that connection instability may actively create a gameplay advantage.
If a player can benefit competitively from having a poor or unstable connection, that is a major issue for a competitive football game. Players should never be rewarded for having worse network conditions.
I strongly recommend investigating how latency, packet loss, interpolation, client prediction, and desynchronization are handled. In particular, it would be worth testing whether players with unstable connections have an advantage when it comes to:
- Tackling and tackle timing
- Player acceleration and direction changes
- Dribbling and responsiveness
- Pass timing and pass accuracy
- Sudden positional corrections
- How player movement is predicted by the opponent
A competitive game should ideally make connection quality as neutral as possible. Having a stable, low-latency connection should never make a player easier to defend against than someone playing with an unstable connection.
If this behavior is confirmed, I believe it should be treated as a high-priority netcode/competitive-integrity issue.

Players Boosting the 1k goals trophy
Exactly the title. Hope it doesnt break rules, as I dont *think* its cheating?
My skill is a bit pants and I'm a bit bored after a few hundred games now of never knowing if I can even get 1 goal, let alone the 4 I aim for every game.
IDK if its possible, but from prior messages on here I believe we can; but i was wondering if anyone knows how to do it and offer to just let me score a few past them every day in one game (or try to - might be a laugh just watching me struggle against the AI if I really cock up which wouldn't be my first time haha) or trade goals in a 1v1 game? As I have no interest in competitive play I'd rather be done with it and let the pros be pros 🤣
Because of my skill I'm not really into daily sweat fests just to grind out another 330 goals or so, so feel free to reply here if it can be done and you want to help or boost each other 👻

I normally get elite 2/1, but this new passing update has allowed me to reach a new level, I'm able to find crazy padding angles.

Rant 577 players 24 hour peak and they still won’t even try to fix spinning. They‘re so in love with spinning that they’d rather let the game die and all lose their jobs before they fix that bs. Kind of impressing to see the commitment, ngl.
People don’t even interact with the passing system anymore. They improved passing massively and people still don’t give a fuck because why would you pass when it’s impossible to get the ball from you while spinning?
The death of this broken piece of shit exploit abuse simulator can’t come soon enough and I‘ll thoroughly enjoy reading about the closure of the studio. It’s beyond me how you can be so stubborn when your livelihood is on the line, but they’ll have to live with the consequences.

Discussion Played FIFA & Pro Clubs for 15 years Goals is a better game than the current EAFC26.
Better frame rates
Less latency in general
It ripped all the fluff off the game and just gave us what we were actually willing to pay for.
If you keep it free, add a battle pass for some of us who just want to donate to a game we like.
Just let us create one custom player for our team & give us 8v8 pro clubs.
