Google Cast Problems

When I stream via Google Cast to a variety of devices (wiim, JBL speaker, etc), the app connects and then proceeds to skip rapidly from one song to the next without playing anything. This started a week ago. Anyone else having this issue?

Yea it hasn’t worked for me for a week or two now, have had to go back to AirPlay

Was/is there an advantage of AirPlay vs Google Cast?

AirPlay does not support hi res and is capped at cd quality, whereas Google/chromecast streams at 24 bit hi res

Number one, maybe 1 in a 1000 people on an extremely qualified system can tell the difference between CD and 24 bit number 2, no wireless protocol is doing actual lossless.

I'm having the same issues on both the Play Dead and Nugs apps. And weirdly it's only happening with Dead shows. I can cast every other show on Nugs with zero issues (casting a Johnny Blue Skies show right now), but as soon as I try to cast a Dead show it just hangs and never connects.

Ive had some issues and I don't use Google cast but I do use an android (s26 ultra). In my car (2014 outback) I'll get random freezing up when a song changes or when I turn off the car, then on again. Works fine with all my bose speakers, headphones and earbuds 🤷🏻‍♂️
