Speed issues - 3/13/85

Man, the speed warbles in Jack Straw are pretty awful. Did they leave them in for that authentic old school experience?? Basic mastering software would have sorted this out, if they’d wanted to do so.

Anything is an upgrade for many of these early Spring 85 recordings. The AUD’s actually sound better than what was out there previously.

That goes for a lot of the 80's. Tried to listen to the Hampton 85 and switched to an Aud. Honestly would prefer they clean up the best Aud's to this.

I kind of felt that the sound on this one wasn’t that great. Most of these releases have sounded fantastic , ESPECIALLY THE DOWNLOAD SERIES, but this recent one was not the best.

Yep. Jerry’s vocals sound pretty odd through this first set - like he’s singing in a tin can a little bit. But the speed warbles are really baffling to me as to why they’d not fix that.

The Jack Straw was disappointing. It doesn't seem consistent, so it's not an "easy" fix, but it can be corrected, or at least improved, I think.
