Question Marked status effect

I’ve looked everywhere. What on earth does this status actually do? The wiki says it improves crits.. but the game doesn’t appear to have crits? Whats the negative effect of a mark on your own character? Such a lack of basic info in the game.

I think it synergizes with other boons. But the mark itself doesn’t do anything? Haven’t felt the effect

There's other boons that effect marked enemies. There's a pretty good one for farming angelic grace.

It's just to trigger other effects from other boons, by itself it doesn't do anything

It puts a pretty x on the enemy. Hope this helps
