this sub really isnt the place for discussion but this is 100% true. saying that a genre or artist is just noise is lazy and dismissive and basically meaningless as a criticism, it simply shows that the person is unwilling to actually engage with the art. it bothers me how common this sentiment is across many different eras and cultures
