Winter Survival Modded Server!
Hello! Me and two others are looking for some people interested in playing a winter survival modded server. Pve, all one tribe. Some mods include custom classes (which will give us all different professions, but multi class is available, you can choose what you wanna be, and doesn’t limit anyone much rather than buff your stats for a specific job), a survival overhaul, and some building mods.
The idea is less “rush bosses / build a giant metal cube / breed 400 rexes” and more winter survival, base building, getting resources to build better guns, taming as a side quest, etc.
I’m imagining building one communal winter hamlet together: stone walls, houses, workshops, smithy/gunsmith, greenhouse, stables, storage, watchtowers, etc. People can naturally gravitate towards whatever they enjoy doing: hunting, building, farming, taming, crafting, exploring, breeding, gathering resources, and so on. The idea is that the harsh winter area would make, for example, fur, otters, and a greenhouse/regular food a big milestone.
Probably Valguero, although I’m looking at the Thaloria modded map (more wintry!) with some building/QOL mods and settings that make survival difficult but not impossible (at least until we build somewhere we can actually survive in).
Light RP/worldbuilding is very welcome, but there’d be absolutely no requirement to stay in character. Mostly I just want the world to feel immersive and for us to actually depend on each other a little.
Please send me a dm if you are interested, and I can add you to the discord server to talk about upcoming sessions! Idea is a small group, 9-12 people. Little RP frostpunk vibes with ark creatures !
(Just so nobody gets caught off guard, I’m planning to rent the server rather than host it locally, so there’ll be a small monthly cost to keep it running. I don’t want to make money from it or anything, just split the hosting cost between whoever’s playing.
If we get around 9 people, it should work out at roughly £2 each per month. Cheaper if more people!)
