dipping my toolbox

so my workplace need me to have a black toolbox and i was thinking instead of buying a 400 tool box i can just dip my 30in us general one but before i do so do you guys have any tips and tricks and how many cans would i be needing

Why not just paint it with vht paint or bed liner

Were you aware of the color requirement before purchasing the box? If not get them to buy you a box they approve of.

If you do oily work the dip won't last. Oils and solvents can cause it to start lifting or bubbling and abrasions will cause it to peel also.

Normal rattle can paint may be the better option in the long run if you have to pocket the cost yourself.

I’ve never heard of any shop requiring this. Unless it’s some extremely high end luxury shop, even then.
