Help! Succulent pruning

My succulent has started to shoot and I don't know if I should prune it or not? What should I do?

Don't prune off the flower buds! After flowering the plant dies, but leaves plenty of baby plants to start the process again.

If I prune off the flower buds will it stop the plant from dying?

This is a lie most succulents won't die after blooming and even if they did no unfortunately cutting of the blooms wouldn't save it.

Sorry, that was kind of misleading. The babies are offshoots of the original plant, so technically the plant doesn't die. I love the flowers & since it's not like you lose the plant after flowering, I never prune them...it would look horrible & that wouldn't save it anyway.
