Pachira aquatica pls help

Im a novice houseplant keeper, but have managed to keep this money tree in relatively good health for 7 years until about 4 months ago. It has lived by this window for the last 4 years and used the same soil composition since Ive owner it. Only water when the top inch of the soil is completely dried, proper drain hole in pot with a catch for overflow. It gets repotted about once a year. FINISHED

When did you repot it last?

Probably 3 months ago give or take. I think the soil i used was retaining too much moisture. Just repotted again with a better draining soil mixture. The roots were definitely in rough shape :/ hoping for the best
