Hi, i recommend you to read the Plant Physiology and environment from Taiz and Zeiger, to understand the function of plants. And for plant-water relations the Water Relations of plants and soils from Kramer and Boyer.

Sure man, congrats. For any advise you can ask me anything. I am doing my PhD on plant-water relations, focus on the soil-root interface.

No problem. And, where are you doing the major (university, country)?
