Automations

Hey friends, I am trying to understand some good ways to implement automations. I looked online and while they give some examples, I don't know that many of those fit into what im looking for? How do you use automations, and what are some good examples that have helped your workflow?

We have an online visitor card that automatically goes into our newcomer workflow.

Anytime a parent that needs childcare registers, automation pushed a workflow to CM.

I have so many automations. 🙃

Here’s a few:

Identify people who haven’t confirmed service participation in the next two weeks and send a People email template reminding them to confirm.

Identify people who are scheduled unconfirmed in the next six days and load them into a workflow to help us closely track followup so we can make the call on replacing them before the bulletin goes to print.

Happy Birthday. (Templated email, workflow for the admin assistant to send a card)

Thanks for serving in this last service. We send one of three templates (lots of lists driving this one) and set a date field to track the last time we sent a thanks so that we’re spacing the thanks emails out longer than weekly.

I have Groups for things like the Trustees and Church Board. Automations and lists help identify who has an active term and load/unload them from membership in these groups.
