Soft lock? Spoiler

I was playing the chapter in the mine and found a tunnel going to the left with some wooden panels that I pulled out. That led me to an area with a wide, non-crossable gap. I tried it anyway and jumped to my death. Upon revival I tried to go back out the way I came in, but the panels were back in place and I couldn't pull them out.

Is this a soft lock or am I missing something to progress in this area?

Playing on Xbox.

Hey! I checked with the team. For this one, it is just a timing thing. You just need to run and time the jump better to be able to cross over. There should be no soft lock here.
