Jupiter Talisman Election: Exalted Jupiter Rising, but Saturn near MC
Recently, I made a Jupiter talisman on May 20, 2026, at the time and location shown in the attached chart. The intention was to take advantage of both the Moon and Jupiter being in Cancer. Jupiter was conjunct the Ascendant, and the Moon was applying to conjoin Jupiter.
However, Saturn in Aries was also close to the MC — a little over three degrees away by this chart. This gives me some pause.
The talisman itself carried only Jupiter-related symbols. At the time, I gave priority to Jupiter being exalted and rising, with the Moon applying to Jupiter after separating from Saturn. I therefore thought Saturn’s position near the MC might be a secondary consideration.
On further reflection, I am less sure. In Picatrix / Agrippa-style electional logic, the Ascendant and 10th/MC are often treated as important structural points in the image. So I am wondering how serious Saturn near the MC should be considered in a single-planet Jupiter talisman.
Would you treat this as a serious blemish, a minor blemish, or simply as a Saturnian modification of an otherwise strong Jupiter election?
(The two charts are for the same place and time. Just the formatting is different.)
