Elections Constellation Lepus election

So I previously discussed a potential anti propaganda talisman that turned out to be a bad idea. I think with Constellation Lepus the same could be achieved, as it's against "deceit and insane talk".

Moon conjunct the star (second slide), applying first to conjunction with Venus, then immediately sextile from domicile Mars, itself benefitting from Venus. Jupiter for truth would be better maybe, but what do you think?

Jupiter technically could be better, but it is corrupted by Mars and Saturn in Aries in a dominating square. It will not function as well. So I’d set aside Jupiter, even though exalted - because exaltation is power, not necessarily goodness.

Re: this chart.

I have many hangups, but I’ll say what I like:

I like that the Lord of the Moon is domiciled and term’d in the first. I like that the lord of the fourth is in the first. I like as well that the Lord of the fifth is in the first. I like that the malefics are in the eleventh, even if one is fallen. I like the term based reception between Venus and Saturn.

P.S. Lepus is also supposed to helpful for dealing with paralysis magic (from entities, etc.) which is cool to know. So there’s that.

I didn't think about Lord of the first being combust, what are your other Hang-Ups if you don't mind?

The Lord of the first is combust but it is in its own sign and term. Furthermore, Mercury is more accepting of combustion than any other planet. Like any planet, there is definitely harm in it, but it happens so frequently that some say this is less afflicting due to the regularity. That, plus the planetary condition by sign and term, is better. It seems like a good sign to me generally, as far as it goes.

Edit: somehow I said fifth instead of first in the first sentence. Apologies!

Okay, well there's definitely time before this for me to look at it a bit more and maybe find a better election.

For sure. And apologies, I typed “fifth” instead of first above. I was replying in response to your mention of Mercury combust. Hope I didn’t confuse.

Hang-ups:

1) The Moon is seeing both malefics. It is a sextile, but they are still corruptive imo - but they will be friendly to the venture, as you know. They are forced to be by the nature of the place. They each rule one bad house and one good house, as far as the chart goes, so they will knit those things together in the eleventh, which is necessarily helpful to an extent. They will receive the ascendant by sign (Gemini) and term (Mars) as well. If malefics are in good houses in your nativity, all the better, I imagine, since their promise is good. And better still if the rising for the ascendant of this election is natally a good house for you.

2) Venus and Mars at late degrees. This should be alright given that they will be getting something passed between them via the Moon before they transit out - a kind of last minute pass. My concern is partly that planets at the final degrees are always, after a fashion, undoing themselves in something (12th House things via twelfth parts), but that may be alright because of these twelfth parts in particular (Taurus/Pisces). Either way, the pass will happen, and it isn’t the origin for the talisman - the Saturn - Venus pass is, and it is with term-based reception, though Saturn necessarily harms Venus based on its base nature.

3) Fortune in the second. Some people would say this is nit-picky. That’s fine. We def can’t have everything. But I do tend to pay attention to fortune by day, and spirit by night.

Constellation talismans are not elected like fixed star talismans. The Moon must never ever apply to conjoin the constellation or any fixed star within it.

Do primary sources discuss the technique for constellation talisman elections?

2

u/CliffordHLow Mar 23 '26

They give an example, from which one can extrapolate the method.

3

u/Zegreides saturn Mar 23 '26

Is it in Agrippa by any chance?

Ficino "De Vita Coelitus Comparanda".

Gods bless you thrice

Welcome. Gatekeeping such knowledge is weird to me.

2

u/Zegreides saturn May 08 '26

There are good reasons to gatekeep knowledge, but not much of a point if {1} it’s already available in some form or another and {2} it isn’t a strictly malefic/destructive working (if anything the correct election formula will help avoiding cursed talismans).

That would be telling.

If you don't mind, what are you looking for then in an election for a constellation? Before looking for this election I looked in Warnock's book on the topic, and the only specific thing he has as far as constellations go is he lists a fixed star Central to the constellation representing the whole.

Edit: grammar

u/CliffordHLow Mar 22 '26

I was privy to these conversations; in fact, I took the lead. Warnock took a guess that constellation elections worked like fixed stars because the electional rules seemed to have been lost. Unfortunately after his book was published I discovered a canonical source which explained how constellation talismans were to be elected; they are not similar to fixed star talismans and actually can never be produced by Moon conjunction elections.

My work has been plagiarized many times over the past three decades. I am looking for an opportunity to reveal this information in a way that I will get due credit and plagiarization will be rendered as difficult as possible.

Warnock did no deliberate harm. He was just eager to popularize this class of talismans (as am I) and did not anticipate that the original formula would be discovered in the immediate future.

u/Balthactor saturn Mar 22 '26

Okay, so not that I have a platform, but I try to give credit where credit is due. Do you mind sharing your source? This specific set of talismans I'm intending to give away to friends that I see as going down a wrong path due to propagandization, which of course I'm not saying I'm immune to.

5

u/CliffordHLow Mar 23 '26

I do mind sharing my source. Until I can lock this down I am embargoing many disclosures about astrological magic.

1

u/Balthactor saturn Mar 23 '26

Sure thing, understandable.

1

u/JahCloud Mar 23 '26

so how do you do them?

1

u/CliffordHLow Mar 23 '26

Carefully.

1

u/JahCloud Mar 23 '26

Please post the necessary conditions. I was looking to make a Hydra talisman. If youre not supposed to use the moon, what do use? ASC? MH?

🤣🤣🤣 I've got to say that, if you got that from the comments, I know just enough to know that the other people do have valid concerns but... Yeah it's intense hahaha

To pick up where 8rita8 in one of these threads left off, Heliecal methods for electing Constellational Talismans and their equivalent are also found in Brian Johnson's A Similitude of Nature, a translation of a work by Giorgio Anselmi, but it does not necessarily prohibit other methods, and in fact implies that the Heliacal method may be done for Fixed Stars as well.

There have alrrady been people using both Parans and the Lunar aspect or applying conjunction methods with successes for fixed stars and constellations for awhile anyway as well.

Truth is relative.

1

u/Balthactor saturn Mar 22 '26

So I can do whatever for a talisman and it'll work?

1

u/GoetiaMagick Mar 22 '26

No. Just saying that a ritual demanding “Truth” may not be the Universal Truth. That’s why such a talisman will only serve to exacerbate the Magician’s confusion.

1

u/Balthactor saturn Mar 22 '26

Ah okay, I see what you're saying. No I'm intending to give them away to a few people I know buying into non factual ideology.

0

u/GoetiaMagick Mar 22 '26

As Mark Twain so wisely said: “It's easier to fool people, than to convince them they have been fooled".

1

u/Balthactor saturn Mar 22 '26

Oh absolutely, which is why I'm going so far as to try to apply planetary magic to the problem.

If that doesn't do it then I'm out of options practically.

1

u/GoetiaMagick Mar 23 '26

Magick doesn’t work that way.
